mental | emotional

Some symptoms and diagnoses can include:

anxiety, grief, lack of focus, inability to concentrate, fear, depression, stress, anger or rage, apathy or numbness, lack of clarity, memory loss, generalized anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, flashbacks, triggering, ADD, ADHD, constantly distracted, and more.

**Please note that emotions and feelings in and of themselves are neither positive or negative. They are simply signals that allow us to tune in and express what needs to be expressed and move what needs to be moved. However, if these signals are either ignored, repressed, numbed, over-indulged, too often or too extreme, it can cause problems.

So for example, when I list anger as a symptom, I am talking about the inability to experience anger as a natural emotion, or the inappropriate expression or chronic unresolved feelings of anger that can and will cause problems.

spiritual conditions

The definition of spiritual healing that I use:

the transforming of a negative thought of self and/or other into a positive one.

This can manifest as: low self worth, feeling unworthy, being stuck, hiding out, self doubt, not believing in yourself enough to take action on anything related to your purpose and mission for being here, feeling and then participating in the projections of the collective/world around you, a negative thought process about self and/or other, numbness, disassociation or disconnection from self, seeing what you lack, evaluating all the ways in which you are not instead of what what you are.

It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself and half-believed, before I was able to walk on this earth as though I had a right to be here —James Baldwin

Trauma-informed, trauma-release & trauma-transformation care

KATS6054-Edit.jpg

The term ‘trauma-informed care’ is often used to describe professionals who have taken some class, training or workshop on what trauma is, how it affects our holistic health, and things to consider when working with folks with a history of trauma.

I’d like to expand on this to include my personal mission to not only intellectually understand what trauma is, thereby being ‘informed’, but really looking into how we can be free from our individual and collective trauma experiences; at least enough to have real choice in the decisions we make, the way we live, the relationships we keep, the ways we nourish ourselves and how we authentically we are connected to ourselves, others, Spirit, and the land.

My research into the world of ‘trauma’ has started with me and it’s been a life-long process of awareness, engagement, healing, feeling, sensing, and trusting, and establishing a stable model of safety, freedom and embodiment within. The me-search has been the research.

Along with my personal experiences, indigenous Spirit connection and pathways and inner knowing being major underpinnings in the me-search, I have also been trained or am currently training in the following modalities in order to facilitate a practical approach to trauma-transformation for all who are willing:

  1. TRE: Tension, Stress and Trauma Releasing Exercises certification, current

  2. The Somatic Womb Path certification program, current

  3. Essential oil channel treatments with Jeffrey Yuen, 4/2023

  4. Shadow Resolution in Chinese Medicine w/Lonny Jarrett, 10/21-10/23 2022

  5. SSP: Safe and Sound Protocol certification- 2022

  6. Trauma Informed Care: BIPOC Healers Training, 09/2021

other conditions I can treat:

Allergies

As a Standard Process provider and trained herbalist, there are many ways to treat allergies! This can be seasonal allergies, coping with environmental stressors, pets, mold or mildew, food, etc.

Digestive issues

upset stomach, GERD, issues related to anxiety or other emotional problems, diarrhea, constipation, IBS, and more!

Fatigue

this can include: adrenal fatigue, anemia, MONO recovery, stress related, fatigue during period, fatigue during or post pregnancy, fatigue during illness, overwork, insomnia/sleep related fatigue, and more!

Stress reduction and nervous system issues

Stress is tricky because it can lead to various symptoms and health problems that you may not realize are happening because of how stressed out you are. But one thing’s for sure: if you could rate your stress at a 5 or higher, on a scale of 1-10, and its been high for more than a week, chances are your stress is a big part of why you may be feeling out of sorts, ill, in pain, fatigued, depressed, constipated, etc. I can help you discover how stress is uniquely affecting you.

Symptoms can include: chronic hyper-vigilance or in a state of ‘fight or ‘flight’, elevated cortisol levels, the inability to relax or feel comfortable in your body, lowered or suppressed immune system causing you to catch a cold or feel ‘sick’ all the time, feeling rushed, chronic tension in body, increased blood pressure, stubborn weight gain or the inability to keep weight on, shortness of breathe, and much more!
